[edit] Pound Wars

''''== Pound Wars ==''''

[edit] History

pound wars is a new cult sport created in the depths of London by a group of schoolboys. It takes its derivatives from other great British sports such as coin football and coin rugby after the group decided to create a cult sport of their own.

[edit] Set-up

There are a few rules to pound wars which must be followed exactly. These are: 1. A player must place his pound in either the "offense" box or "defence" box depending on his or her own turn. 2. The offence must place their coin lengthways along the board and the defence must place their coin horizontally across the board. 3. the offense must then roll his coin using only a "pound wand" to do this (a pound wand can be anything from a stick or pen to a fully modern, commercial model). 4. The aim is to knock the defence coin down.

The aim is to knock the defence coin down. 5. During gameplay, if a coin is to stop this is known as stoppage. If stoppage occurs in the droppage zone or in the middle of the board then the offence player is granted another move. If however stoppage occurs in the stoppage box (at the defence end of the board) then the offence player has lost the move and no points are awarded. 6. Droppage is when the offence coin falls onto the board. This can only happen in the droppage zone. If this happens anywhere else on the board then the move has been lost and no points awarded.

Below is an example board.
