40% is the artist name used by Omri "Omi" Harpaz, an Israeli producer of psychedelic trance. Harpaz was born in Israel in 1977 and studied computer programming in his youth. Attracted to electronic music from early on, he started DJ'ing at age 17. He started producing music shortly thereafter.
40% has collaborated with numerous other psychedelic trance artists including Dozer, Exaile, Paranormal Attack, and Skazi. He is also the other half (with Yaniv Shulman) of the psybient group Shulman.
