[edit] Who Am I?

Wow, that's fairly existential...I'm just a normal guy with two (almost three) daughters and an incredible wife. I love everything about the social web (I refuse to adopt the "1.0" "2.0" system some prefer), even if I don't have much time to explore all the aspects of it. I also love the concept of gaming, even though I've never had the time or patience to invest in it.

I'm also a learning strategist, having spent nearly a decade studying and practicing adult learning theory in the development of classroom and web-based courses. With the advent of wikis, blogs, and other user-generated, self-discovery types of options, though, I'm beginning to rethink everything I know about training delivery. While the nature of learning itself hasn't changed much since the dawn of creation, methods of instruction have...and the only way to keep reaching people is to keep learning and keep adapting.

I'm a jack-of-many-trades, master of few. Some of my interests include:

  • Weightlifting and fitness
  • Maintaining my family web site (withheld due to privacy reasons)
  • Guitar and percussion
  • Books (fiction and non-fiction)
  • Keeping in touch with friends and family
  • Facilitating a small group (Bible study) (see our church's web site)
  • Coordinating small group leader training for the church

  • Becoming increasingly paperless
