The lineage for this regiment is really the 20th Continental Regiment and I believe it should be listed as such. There is a seperate 3rd Connecticut Regiment. The confusion arises that the 20th orginal started out designated as the 3d for approximately a year.

There was a 3d Connecticut Regt formed in 1776 and existed until 1781. The 20th Continental Regiment was formed from the 3d Connecticut Regiment 1775 that was redesignated as the 20th in 1776. Have corrected it as so.Oldwildbill 08:39, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
