[edit] Running Warcraft III in windowed mode

  • Right click on an empty area of your desktop
  • Select New... ==> Shortcut...
  • Type in "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -window (with the quotation marks!)
  • Press next, type in a name for the shortcut (for example WAR3Windowed)
  • Click Finish and run the shortcut.
  • Your Warcraft now runs in windowed mode.

If you did not install Warcraft to it's default directory, then you will have to replace C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\ with the correct path. (For example if your Warcraft is on your D drive, then use "D:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -window)
