Although this image would not ordinarily enter the public domain until 70 years after the (unknown) author's death in Germany or 70 years after it was first published, it was seized by the U.S. Government Interdepartmental Committee for the Acquisition of Foreign Publications, Property seized by the U.S. government and ruled to be public domain in Price vs. United States (Docket 93-2564, United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, 20 November 1995).
