350 Mission Street is a proposed skyscraper located in San Francisco's South of Market district. The tower, located on Mission Street, will tower 550 feet (168 m) above street level.[1] The project was initially proposed at 850 feet (259 m)-tall with 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m²) of office space, but the developer reduced the project height by 300 feet (91 m) and the floor area by over 600,000 square feet (55,700 m²).[2][3] This was because the first version of the project exceeded the local height limit by 300 feet (91 m).[2][4] The new version of the project is compliant with the local 550 foot (168 m) height restriction.[4] However, on May 1, 2008, the city of San Francisco released a zoning plan that allowed the tower to rise as high as 700 feet (213 m).[5]
