34 Tauri
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
34 Tauri (or 34 Tau) is a hypothetical star catalogued by English astronomer John Flamsteed in 1690. This star doesn't exist : it is the planet Uranus whose motion in the sky was too slow to be properly identified by Flamsteed. 34 Tauri, as 3 Cassiopeiae is one of the very few mistakes made by Flamsteed in his star catalogue published six years after his death in Historia coelestis Britannica and still used nowadays under the Flamsteed designation.
