.sys is a filename extension in Microsoft Windows and MS-DOS operating system.

- In MS-DOS and DOS-based operating systems such as Windows 98, these files can be used as configuration files for the operating system. The MSDOS.SYS and CONFIG.SYS files contain various configuration options.[1][2]
- .sys files are used as device drivers.[3]
