.pk is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Pakistan. It is administered by PKNIC. Traditionally, registrations were at the third level under various labels:

  • .COM.PK - General Business, or Individual
  • .NET.PK - Network Related Business
  • .EDU.PK - Educational Institutes
  • .ORG.PK - Non-profit Organizations
  • .FAM.PK - Family and Individuals
  • .BIZ.PK - General Business, Promotional
  • .WEB.PK - Web Sites
  • .GOV.PK - Domains for Government of Pakistan
  • .GOB.PK - Domains for Government of Baluchistan
  • .GOK.PK - Domains for Government of Azad Kashmir
  • .GON.PK - Domains for Government of NWFP
  • .GOP.PK - Domains for Government of Punjab
  • .GOS.PK - Domains for Government of Sindh

However, as of 2005 second-level registration became available, starting with a Sunrise Period limited to trademark holders. PKNIC started open registration of second-level .pk domains (eg - example.pk instead of example.com.pk) on 20 June, 2006 after the sunrise and land rush period.
