The decision on this should have been made nearly a year ago, any information on montenegro? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 205.243.71.250 (talkcontribs).

The IANA/ICANN procedures take a fair bit of time to get implemented. I'm guessing that the delegation will be done on one of the 2007 meetings. --Joy [shallot] 23:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

The rollout schedule to deploy .me is up on the domain.me registry site now. I'd tried adding the info to the article, but it has since been reverted. --66.102.80.212 (talk) 19:39, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] .yu will be replaced by .me

Heh, this makes me laugh. This one is .me, and there's a related one called .yu. Heh. (I bet that the .me TLD will be used for things like personal space, i.e. MySpace, etc.) — SheeEttin {T/C} 01:51, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Is that any more silly than creating .me.us as a name? Me? Us??? --205.150.76.42 22:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Maybe, but I found this statement (which I may have missed before) even funnier: "This allows a two-year transition period for existing .yu names to be transferred to .me". — SheeEttin {T/C} 20:37, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
.its.me as a hierarchy for personal websites? *lol* that should be added to domain hacks and uncyclopedia's list of joke domains, that's classic. :) --205.150.76.42 14:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

The whole saga of .me obtaining independence from .yu does make for some awkward grammatical constructions, much like the infamous "I is..." (technically valid in the one context "I is the 9th letter of the alphabet..."). Somehow ".me is the domain for Montenegro" looks less valid than the passive voice "Montenegro is served by .me, a country-code top level domain" even though both are technically correct in this context. --carlb 04:18, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] .me is about YOU?

That's their official slogan. Perhaps this has become silly enough that the entire .me domain should be transwikied to http://bjaodn.org? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.102.80.212 (talk) 19:22, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Active

As of 14:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC) it resolves but isn't taking new registrations yet. --205.150.76.42 14:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
