[edit] Natsume
Did Natsume appear in .hack//INFECTION? I was under the impression that she made her debut in .hack//MUTATION- I could be wrong. It's been a long time since I played through either... Anyone know for sure? -Michuru 18:32, August 15, 2005 (UTC)
Pretty sure she first appeared in INFECTION. --Zombie Jeff 18:40, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, Natsume is first introduced in a side quest that's enabled via a post on the Board titled "Weapon Information". You have to go to a dungeon (forgot the name) and get her a rare weapon that she wanted. --SirensLullaby 19:56, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] .hack//INFECTION → .hack//Infection
- All capped trademarks are to be written in normal English fashion. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks).
- Also, sites such as GameSpot write it as ".hack//Infection"--SeizureDog 01:30, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Gameplay
It was originally:
The gameplay has been criticised for having awkward camera controls. Views do not shift automatically during battle so in order to find a comfortable view you have to find it yourself. Esepcially since battles are in real-time this can be very awkward and annoying. It's also been criticised for requiring the player to open up a menu to cast a spell, which doing so in real-time is very annoying to most players. A minor criticism is that Experience Points are not divided among party members, which can lead to some bad situations when trying to level up a lower level character or accidentally power-leveling one or two characters.
I changed it to:
The combat system has been criticised for having awkward camera controls. Views do not shift automatically during battle so in order to find a comfortable view the player will have to manually move the camera angle themselves. It's also been criticised for requiring the player to open up a menu to cast a spell, which breaks the real-time action of the battle. Also, Experience Points are not divided equally among party members, which can lead to 'grinding' issues.
It seemed to read like a review before . . .
[edit] Trivia: "small bug"
Could someone who knows more about the bug (I'm just starting in on the .hack games, myself) please clean up the trivia entry about it. Thanks. - Everchanging02 03:38, 17 April 2007 (UTC) Done. - Everchanging02 00:15, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Data & Un-credited Characters
It should also be known that some characters, extras, that appear in the next game actually appear, data/Party members, in .hack//:INFECTION with working voices, though they might have not or been credited for this since they did not actually make an in-game appearance, this is done however only with using a 'cheat' device, such as GameShark, Codebreaker, Action Replay, etc...
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Dothack gameplay.jpg
Image:Dothack gameplay.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Japanese voice option
This game (and all of the others in this series - GU, the next series did not include it however, I think) has an option to listen to the original Japanese voices instead of the English dub. As a side note, for the PAL release I believe that this option only becomes available once you have beaten the game once and then start a new game, the NTSC version has the option to listen to the original voice overs from the start. Might be good to include this information as it there are not many games that have it. Axiszen (talk) 01:23, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
