Rationale: this photograph was taken inside a war zone; a similar photograph cannot be made under a free license unless photographs of French military personnel fall under a free license (which might happen in the future but the probabilities are slim) or some professional photographer embedded inside the unit accepts to grant free licenses (which is unlikely given that these people make a living out of selling proprietary licenses).
