2nd Parliament of Upper Canada
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 2nd Parliament of Upper Canada was in session from June 1, 1797 to July 7, 1800. Elections in Upper Canada had been held in August 1796. Three sessions were held at York, later Toronto, and one at Newark, later Niagara-on-the-Lake. The seat of government had been moved because it was felt that Newark was too close to the United States.
