"2nd Floor" is a pop/R&B song written by Arnie Mendaros, and produced by Neil Gregorio for Nina's debut album, Heaven (2002). It was solicited to radio as a promo single in lieu of the album's release in the Philippines. The song peaked at number nine in the Philippines Singles Chart.
[edit] Release
The song was considered to be a radio-only single; it was released without commercial support and promotion. Since it was not commercially released, the song had no video, and only a live performance of Nina was issued in music video channels. Despite its inability to chart eligibly, it still entered the Philippines Singles Chart at number nine, peaking for two weeks, due to considerable airplay.
[edit] Awards
The song won in the 2003 Awit Awards for Best R&B Song, despite the fact that it was not considered to be a released single. It was said that the song's success allowed Nina to win the coveted Best New Artist award in 2003.
