2MAX FM is a community radio station based in Narrabri, NSW, Australia. The station has been broadcasting for over 10 years to the regional area. It is volunteer based, and is a member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). The station aims to be a local voice for the Narrabri area, offering access to any member of the community.

2MAX FM can be heard in Narrabri, Wee Waa, Coonabaraban, Gunnedah, Moree and all throughout the Narrabri Shire.

There is a lot of country music played on the station, however there is a variety of genres that can be heard on our station including Folk, Rock & Pop, Classical, 50's 60's 70's 80' & 90's and Christian/Religious. The station provides an easy to access outlet for Australian Country music artists.

2MAX FM have conducted surveys asking the community to provide feedback to the station. 2MAX FM have another survey running currently - due in by April 30th 2008.

The majority of presenters are over 50.

Many request shows are available and songs from the country genre dominate these programmes.

A Program committee governs the programmes that are put to air.

A recent addition to our programming is the "Max FM Mornings" program. Between the hours of 9am-12noon presents information on the local community, including Bush Bargains, school news, Narrabri Shire Council Report by the Mayor, a local weeds report, and What's On In Our Shire report.
