2BE Belfast was the call sign of the first official radio station in Northern Ireland which started Broadcasting in 1924. Operated by the British Broadcasting Company, later Corporation. The station later became the Northern Ireland Home Service and BBC Radio 4 Northern Ireland. Today the station is known as BBC Radio Ulster. The station still broadcasts on the original frequency of 1341 kHz.
