2 Hype is the debut album by rap duo, Kid 'n Play. The album was released in 1988 for Select Records and was produced by Hurby Luv Bug and The Invincibles. 2 Hype was a success for the duo, making it to #96 on the Billboard 200 and #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and being certified platinum by the RIAA. Three singles found success on the Hot Rap Singles chart, "Rollin' with Kid 'n Play" (#2), "2 Hype" (#19) and "Gittin' Funky" (#24).
