2 and 3 Part Inventions is a ballet made by New York City Ballet's ballet master in chief Jerome Robbins to Bach's Music Inventions and Sinfonias from 1720-1723. The premiere took place June 4, 1994, with the School of American Ballet in the Juilliard Theater, Lincoln Center. The title is sometimes written, Two- and Three-Part Inventions.
