281st Infantry Division (Germany)

The German 281st Infantry Division, (281. Infanterie-Division) was formed in January 1945 in Courland by conversion of the 281st Security Division (281. Sicherungs-Division).

The 281st Infantry Division spent it's brief wartime career on the Eastern Front serving under III SS Corps in February and March 1945 and XXXII Corps in April.
