[edit] 24th at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo?

The 24th was at Fort Wood wasn't it? My dad was stationed there as a 1st Sgt. in the early to mid '60's and he was in the 24th Div. If there is any info on this, please include it in the article. Thanks! Maltmomma (chat) 14:51, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, but the 24th ID did not see the Continental United States for the first time until 1970, when it rotated from Vietnam to Fort Riley, Kansas. More to the point, the Division was never stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. Your father may have been in the 24th ID while it was in Hawaii, Korea, or Vietnam, which is where they were prior to 1970, and he may have gone to Fort Leonard Wood for schooling, for a Temporary Duty Assignment, or as Cadre for a School there.

To be a little more exact, not "rotated from Vietnam to Fort Riley, Kansas"; rather, see my site [24th Infantry Division in Europe 1958-1970]http://www.libraryautomation.com/24th/

[edit] Iraq 1994

Are we sure that "In the fall of 1994 Iraq again menaced the Kuwaiti border"? I thought Iraq was well boxed in by UN sanctions after its Kuwait expedition. - Dave Smith 21:41, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
