A green taro leaf stem up piped with yellow upon a red circular background piped with black.

The taro leaf is a well known symbol of Hawaii.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally approved for the Hawaiian Division on 9 Sep 1921. It was redesignated for the 24th Infantry Division on 21 Jul 1944.
