[edit] Regarding edits made 17 March 2007 to Tom Leykis

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from an article. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. [edit] Unsubstantiated

Black-Velvet's automated software undid legitimate edits and rewrites, claiming it was 'vandalism', even though the revisions were fully commented. See the page history -- I actually cleaned up the page by combining similar sections and rewriting awkward prose. I object to his use of automated software to make such determinations, as I think it undoes legitimate contributions and undermines people's attempts to improve a page. His software is definitely not an asset to the Wikipedia community, as it has a too-high margin of error. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.80.117.217 (talk) 10:33 & 34, 17 March 2007

[edit] Regarding edits to Vomiting

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, 24.80.117.217! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \burbandictionary\.com\/, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Fiona Forbes, you will be blocked from editing. MECUtalk 15:09, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

At 16:54, 22 April 2007 24.80.117.217 (talkcontribsinfoWHOIS) blanked the entire preceding 3-section discussion, with the edit summary "(*bump*)". Restored by Jerzyt 08:54, 25 February 2008 (UTC).

[edit] WP:NPA warning, April 2007

With regards to your comments on User talk:Mecu: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. - Charleca 17:45, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

At 07:12, 23 April 2007 24.80.117.217 (talkcontribsinfoWHOIS) blanked this page, deleting the preceding paragraph, with the edit summary "(some mod is rubbing salt in my gator)". Restored by J.smith (talk · contribs), in the edit with which they added the following section and edit-summarized with "(Restoring old warning and {{subst:uw-blp2}})".
At 06:02, 16 May 2007 24.80.117.217 (talkcontribsinfoWHOIS) redeleted the preceding paragraph, without an edit summary.

[edit] Your edits to Fiona Forbes, May 2007

Please do not add unreferenced controversial biographical information concerning living persons to Wikipedia articles. Thank you. ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 22:36, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

The following edits took place at this point in the discussion:

  1. At 05:44, 18 May 2007 (UTC)France3470 added a {{uw-vandalism2}} msg (with paramaters for "Tom Leykis" and "Thank you"}}.
  2. At 20:36, 18 May 2007 (UTC), created a forged contribution, by removing the sentence "If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. " from the preceding contribution (in the same edit where they added the "You are wrong..." paragraph), shortly following this italicized text, with the edit summary "(*bump*)".
  3. As its sig and timestamp indicate, the following replaced the altered template subst:

(bad vandalism warning removed, The Evil Spartan 14:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC))

You are wrong. I have reverted your reversion. 24.80.117.217 20:36, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
I apologize for mistaking your edit for vandalism. I do not know anything about Tom Leykis or the article and made an incorrect assumption about your addition. I appreciate you adding citation to back up the statement. Very sorry for the misunderstanding, --France3470 18:54, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

You recently nominated an image for deletion, but did not properly finish the nomination. I have done so at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2007 May 25#Image:APC_logo.png. Please feel free to comment further on your nomination. The Evil Spartan 14:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

  • (Bad {{tl:Test4}} vandalism warning (time-stamped 01:25, 10 June 2007) removed, Jerzyt 08:54, 25 February 2008 (UTC))

At 04:50, 11 June 2007 24.80.117.217 (talkcontribsinfoWHOIS) reblanked the page, with edit summary "(some shitheaded mod accused me of vandalism again... completely unsubstantiated)". With exception of

restoring a registered user's replacement for the forged contrib, and
replacing a warning myself,

all removals by the IP have been restored, by Jerzyt 08:54, 25 February 2008 (UTC).

The context of the warning suggests it referred to an undocumented (and probably inflammatory) assertion and suggestion on a talk page. This experienced admin considers its description as "vandalism" unjustified, in light of adding content, plausibly with good intentions, to a talk page, and i have removed it in a style similar to that of User:The Evil Spartan.

[edit] February 2008

I have restored the evidence previously placed on this page, and removed by you.
After further review (in order to act more comprehensively), i will impose for-the-record blocks upon you in at least the following matters:

  1. Your 16:54, 22 April 2007 edit removed an uncontested final warning notice, in practice concealing the fact of that warning from other users.
  2. Your 07:12, 23 April 2007 and 06:02, 16 May 2007 edits twice removed the NPA warning, in practice concealing the fact of that warning from other users.
  3. Your 20:36, 18 May 2007 (UTC) edit, forged a contribution attributed to another editor.
  4. Your (promptly reverted) 00:39 10 June 2007 addition of irrelevant PoV to a notice that carries legal force was vandalism done subsequent to a final warning against vandalism.
  5. Your 04:50, 11 June 2007 edit
    1. removed another final warning,
    2. violated NPA subsequent to a warning, and
    3. by doing so in an edit summary (rather than in editable text), compounded the NPA violation.
