Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 24.79.60.31). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. *~Daniel~* 01:17, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vancouver Canucks edits

Richard Park's flag is USA because he plays for Team USA in international tournaments. When encountering a situation like this, please do check the player's international tournaments history or, if needed, personal history. Thank you. -→Buchanan-Hermit/?! 06:51, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recent hockey article edits

Please try to write in a measured, nuanced, encyclopedic and factual way. Excessive and tendentious edits might disturb the work of other editors and be reverted. You might find reading WP:POV useful in this respect. Furthermore, please do not add commentary and your personal analysis of an article into Wikipedia articles, such as the recent team articles into which you have interjected many items irrelevant to the teams in question. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Finally, please be advised that according to Wikipedia language rules, articles concerning a certain country should be written in the national language variant particular to that country, and therefore Commonwealth English is inappropriate to US based hockey team articles. Thank you. RGTraynor 19:58, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canadian based spelling

Please see WP:STYLE#National_varieties_of_English regarding your edits to American based hockey teams. Specifically: If an article's subject has a strong tie to a specific region/dialect, it should use that dialect. Yeah, Canadian based articles should use en-CA, however US based articles (including teams like Philadelphia Flyers) should use en-US. Thanks ccwaters 18:50, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Note that I've made corrections to the Buffalo Sabres entry as well with regards to changing existing spelling to the Canadian version. Please refrain from doing this in the future. Thanks. Yankees76 19:47, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Ditto the New York Islanders article. Croctotheface 22:18, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Do not add POV or change the form of English used in NHL team articles. –NeoChaosX [talk | contribs] 22:22, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
