[edit] Tim Hunter
Hello 24.66.200.193, you are in error, on the Calgary Flames article. Tim Hunter was an alternate captain during the 1988-89 NHL season, serving under co-captains Lanny MacDonald & Jim Peplinski. Proof of this, is the 1988-89 (Stanley Cup Champions) Calgary Flames official team photo. GoodDay 00:37, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
No, in fact Tim Hunter was a Co-Captain, mainly throughout the playoffs. Proof of this is the moment that Lanny Macdonald was presented with the Stanley Cup (presented to the teams Captain) he called over both Jim Peplinski and Tim Hunter, his co-captains, who were both scratches for the game, to be presented with the cup alongside him.
- in 1993 Canadiens captain Guy Carbonneau, called over alternate captains Denis Savard (out of lineup), Kirk Muller & Mike Keane (filling in for Savard), to help hoist the Stanley Cup. Does this mean the 4 guys were Quad-Captains? GoodDay 16:02, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please, stop adding Tim Hunter, to the 'team captains section'. Furthermore, Assistant captain IS Alternate captain. see Captain (ice hockey) article. GoodDay 02:16, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
You stop removing him. He belongs on that list with Lanny McDonald and Jim Peplinksi, whether you want to believe it or not.
- I think, it'll be soon time, to report you to the Administrators. Your're crossing the line of vandalism, on this article. GoodDay 02:59, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
How? You have shown no proof of your point, I have proved my point time and again. I have been following the Flames since they came to Calgary, and was at game 1,2 and 5 of the Finals that year, so I know what I am talking about. They only one that should possibly be reported is you, for continuing to edit my corrections, just as you did with Stephane Yelle, of which you were not correct.
-
- Your're correct, Yelle is an alternate captain (this 2006-07 NHL season), a role that has been taken up by Warrener (until Yelle returns from injury). However 'Tim Hunter' was also a Flames alternate captain (During the 1987-88, 1988-89 and 1989-90 NHL
seasons). Again 'Alternate' IS Assistant. GoodDay 03:11, 4 December 2006 (UTC) Did you check the link to the Official Calgary Flames website? GoodDay 04:07, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

- 24.66.200.193, we obviously have conflicting reliable sources. I've pulled back my charge of vandalism. You've only been trying to improve the Flames article as I have been. Suggest, as a compromise, we list McDonald, Peplinski & Hunter as tri-captains for the 1988-89 season adding a dispute tag to Hunter, as it's still not clear if he was a captain. What do you think. For what its worth, the HockeyNews photo I've referred to was the August 1989 issue (after the 1989 Playoffs). The photo included the Stanley Cup, Clarence Campbell Bowl & Conn Smythe Trophy, placed in front of the team (therefore the photo couldn't have been taking before OR during the 1988-89 NHL season). You're a passionate Flames fan (I like that). I think you should become a registered user (create an account). I'd welcome your addition to the Wikipedia Community. Forgive my accusation of vandalism (your edits clearly, weren't vandalism), I too am a passinate Hockey fan. Again, create an account, Wikipedia is better with you then without you. PS- If it'll make you feel better, I'm a Habs fan (1989 was a tough year, the Stanley Cup that got away). Oh well the better team ('88-'89 Flames) won. GoodDay 04:54, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- By the way, the 3-Edit rule doesn't apply to the 'talk pages'. Will you become a regisiterd user? GoodDay 05:12, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stephane Yelle
Do you have a source, that Alternate captain Stephane Yelle has returned to the Flames lineup? By the way, welcome back. Hope you like my compromise edit on Tim Hunter. PS= Amonte, was wearing the 'A' in Yelle's absence ,since Warrener got hurt. GoodDay 22:50, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- You may want to have a talk with 68.146.208.102, he 'recently' removed an 'A' from Stephane Yelle. GoodDay 22:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, you are correct. With Yelle and Warrener out of the Line-up Amonte was wearing the A. But, now that Yelle is back he has his A. Yelle played on Dec 16th vs. Phoenix. He had one assist. Check any box scores of that game.
- No problem, I'd re-edited Yelle as injured (about an hour ago), then reversed my edit (a minute later).
- It's seems the Flames have taken an 'A' from Yelle & given it back to Warrener. It's that or they're gonna go with 3 'A's serving under Captain Jarome Iginla, from now on (Regehr, Warrener & Yelle). GoodDay 18:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
- If you are talking about the last game against the Canucks, Yelle was an injured scratch for that game, hence why Warrener had an A. Warrener was also wearing an A during the Flames mini road trip directly after the All-Star game, as Regher was out with the Flu and not with the team. All of Yelle, Warrener and Regher have had injuries or sickness this season, and when such happens the A's are distributed to others. Just because one game another player is wearing an A, does not mean he is wearing it for good, or that the official A's have changed, or should be changed on this page. For this season, Yelle and Regher are wearing the A's officially. This will not change.

- I've fixed it (it's Regehr & Yelle), some other anon-user was mixing things up or got thing mixed up and cause me to make erroneous edits. Just curious though, I wonder how many games (this season) have Iginla, Regehr & Yelle played in simultaneously. My guess is, not many (due to injuries). GoodDay 20:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yelle & Warrener rotate the 2nd alternate captaincy. I've watched the Flames (Feb 28) game against Minnesota Wild (Iginla, Regehr, Warrener & Yelle were in the lineup). Warrener (along with Regehr) wore an 'A' while Yelle didn't, in other games Yelle wore an 'A' while Warrener didn't. The conclusion is obvious, along with Captain Iginla there's 3 alternates- Regehr (full time), Warrener & Yelle (rotating). GoodDay 18:50, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Previous too earlier in the season, the team has now decided to switch between Warrener and Yelle for who is wearing the second A. Both are alternate captains and rotate wearing the "A" as of now. This is different from previous in the season, where Yelle was the second alternate alone.
- I sure wish Jim Playfair, would make up his mind. GoodDay 23:57, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Calgary Flames
Please see consensus at WPT, current consensus allow inclusion of Fuhr. If you disagree? Bring your dispute to WPTT. An 'Edit war' at the Flames page, isn't going to solve anything. GoodDay 19:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- One, I am not trying to start an "Edit War". I created a topic on the discussion page for this to be discussed, so as not to create an "I'm right", "No, I'm right" scenario. An "Edit War" was exactly what I DID NOT want. Two, I felt that leaving him off, since that is how this page has existed for some time now, and to then discuss his inclusion and come upon and consensus about this situation in particular would be the best course of action. It is apparent that now that the consensus of a few individuals overrides this, and as such I have left his name up for now. However, I feel that using a overall guideline created by a consensus of a few individuals is unsatisfactory in this particular situation, and thus have left the topic open for discussion so that a BETTER decision based on this particular situation and this particular situation only, can be made.--24.66.200.193 21:35, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
