What was the intended purpose of the featured picture (Tuesday, April 8, 2008)? Your brief explanation focuses on all of the negatives that the image represents and therefor, in my opinion, serves no useful purpose as a featured picture. It will probably only serve to insight emotions... of disgust, and anger from some... for others it may be seen as humorous and even perpetuate the negative stereotypes and 'archetypes' that existed then (1900) and exist now. Where was the added value?
I am sorry if my comment was unclear. I was suggesting that the day's featured picture could be showcased beside the featured article, rather than on the bottom of the page. 24.65.164.230 (talk) 20:22, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
