[edit] Weenis
I want you to know that this isn't elitism. Richardcavell was quoting a page that references an actual policy: Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not for things made up in school one day. We're not saying that you made up the word; it's been a childish combination of "weiner" and "penis" for a very long time. We're not even saying that you made up the definition, as the definition you used is the same as the one in the article that was previously deleted. We're also not saying it's vandalism, because if it was it could have been speedy deleted. This just isn't the place to make articles about new things; in fact, nothing should be on here that you don't have valid sources for. In other words, Wikipedia should never be the first place an idea is published. The articles don't have to be about particularly important subjects (I write articles about trivial things all the time) but they do have to be about real things.
I really do hope you don't take this too personally. Articles that I've written have been deleted, too. You definitely seem like you have potential to be a good editor here, so don't take the criticism of the subject too hard - it's not your fault. Kafziel 00:01, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
