[edit] WP:BLP
Our policy regarding the treatment of Biographies of living persons contends that contentious material should be removed immediately, whether in an article or on a talk page. Calling somebody a "scumbag" falls into that contentios category. Thanks. - auburnpilot talk 23:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Your edits are becoming disruptive. Please stop. - auburnpilot talk 23:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Fine, if you want to bastardize my edits and water them down then go for it. It is pretty sad that it comes to that.--24.250.59.250 (talk) 23:26, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, but libelous statements leave the Foundation open to lawsuits (or so the claim goes). FYI, be mindful of the three revert rule. - auburnpilot talk 23:43, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Living Persons category
I know that the instructions say not to include it. However, we were directed by Wikipedia's office to include it because of legal issues. That's why we keep restoring it ... not because we are too stupid to read or something.Kww (talk) 19:57, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Please post where the office directed this. I thought "they" wanted to keep the living category so it could be tracked. Even that should be brought into the light of day. Thank you.--24.250.59.250 (talk) 20:01, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

- I read that. Does that mean category living persons should be included in the article? I see it differently. Maybe time to hear from the horse's mouth. I will try that. Thank you--24.250.59.250 (talk) 20:23, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] You're very welcome
And thank you for removing the inappropriate categories from articles about skyscrapers not under construction. You really should consider getting a Wikipedia account; it is very easy, and it seems like you have a lot to contribute. Cheers, Rai-me 20:40, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I will consider it. This sure beats fighting with the owners of the Natalee Holloway article. :)
