[edit] June 2007

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Viz Media, you will be blocked from editing. Trusilver 22:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

Hi, this is 24.24.something, and you just said i vandalized the viz talk page. Ok, since it seems that i'm being bad, i will make no more changes on wikipedia ever. well, maybe ill create an actual account sometime. (not that i dont already have one) anyways, i would just like to ask you why you considered me a vandal. i didn't make any edits in the real page, i only suggest somethign in the talk page. The issue about viz media that i had is a very very very very very very popular one, they are especially known for picking bad voice actors, and making the original japanese anime's quality worse. Well, I know i dont have any sources, which is why i put it on the discussion page, to suggest that problem and if anybody could actually find a source (its already generally accepted among many and i have definitely seen many websites ranting about this). so .. i just wanted to know what i did, and so i know i shouldn't do that in the future. thanks, (try not to be too mean T_T)

This is your last warning. If you continue to use talk pages such as Talk:Viz Media for inappropriate discussions you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Talk pages are not a forum for you to discuss what you like or don't like about that particular subject. the discussion page is to talk about improvement of the article. Your comments provide no contribution seeing that they are nothing more than your opinion on why you don't like something. Trusilver 23:11, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

I agree that it might be a little harsh to call the edits you made "vandalism," but the bottom line is this: The talk pages on Wikipedia are for discussing the article, not for discussing the subject. This is not a forum to talk about Viz's crappy voice actors. So that wasn't really the appropriate place to be discussing that... And many people would call that vandalism.
If you really want to do something on Wikipedia to expose this message, if you could find credible third party sources that talk about the fact that many fans are unhappy with Viz's choice of voice actors, that could conceivably be added to the article page, under a heading like "Controversy" or something like that... --Jaysweet 23:13, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Oh wait, the article already does talk about how Viz's voice acting sucks. So what's your point? The article already covers it... why bitch about it on the Talk page???? --Jaysweet 23:15, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
To be honest, I happen to agree with your assessment of the subject matter. But here is not the place to discuss it. On the internet are plenty of forums that tolerate or encourage talk about the subject matter itself. Here just isn't the place. Trusilver 23:14, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

ALRIGHT, thank you guys for your answers. i understand now. Trusilver, on your "LAST WARNING" post thingy, well, i made that edit before i even saw that you gave me a warning in the first place, and because it wouldnt let me edit the talk page the first time around, so i was like .. "what?" .. anyways, LAST QUESTION , how about the first comment on the viz anime? i want to know what you guys think about that. his own personal view is that he hates "RISE"... (lmao, i laugh at it every time i see it on television) ... do you think that his edit was a personal opinion like mine?

and where does it already mention that the voice actors suck? i didn't find it anywhere in the article. sadly, when i google this subject, i see an enormous amount of people complaining about viz, however , i dont think they are credible 3rd party sources, just a bunch of people's opinions. oh well, i'll just give up on this, and let people be ignorant. bye guys

I don't comment on other people comments on a talk page. I am a recent changes patroller and it tends to give me a certain amount of tunnel vision when it comes to the articles I'm working on. If I don't catch it right when it happens, it's then the problem of the people that normally work on that article. Most of the articles I'm touching are from subject matter I have never even heard of, I'm just around to try to grab as much vandalism as I can as it's happening. Trusilver 23:28, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
