From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page Ebay have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. mtz206 (talk) 22:14, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Response:

On May 18th, someone asked for additional links to solid eBay seller resources on the discussion page. I understand that Wikipedia is not a link farm, however the PoweSellerKing site offers solid eBay seller resources and news.

The link section currently has 2 links and one is to eBay. If someone is looking to sell on eBay, additional information would be extremely helpful.

  • There are several different reasons that link is inappropriate; the easiest guideline is in Wikipedia:External links, which says "Blogs, social networking sites (such as MySpace) and forums should generally not be linked to". I'm sure you think that blog (your blog?) is useful, but we don't link to blogs. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 15:01, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
