This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Long Island University C.W. Post Campus, you will be blocked from editing. Panoptical 15:01, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Wikipedia. Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Tiptoety 22:51, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please Use Edit Summaries

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. [edit] Your edits

Even if the edits themselves weren't vandalism, you really need to leave an edit summary showing why you mass deleted material. For the most part, unexplained mass deletions get reverted. Second, you have received prior warnings before. Third, having access to multiple computers does not change the IP address. Furthermore, if you did manage to change the address, you would be found out (most likely via CheckUser if it isn't overly blatent) and blocked for up to 1 year. Finally, you need to remain civil. "Screaming" in all caps is frowned upon, and is a violation of Wikipedia:Civility. Feel free to revert my edit (if you haven't already), but use the edit summary and remain civil. Thank you. [edit] Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 18:48, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip. I'm still learning. --24.189.35.249 18:50, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hofstra University

Hi there. I saw your recent addition to Hofstra University, and I decided to tag your edit with [citation needed] tags because of the lack of citations. But with information like that, I'm sure you have a source that we can use to cite that information. Could you add a citation to the article, or if you're not sure how, let me know what the URL is and I'll give you a hand? Thanks! -FrankTobia (talk) 01:40, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Frank. I understand. I will cite this fact I found from the University's web site. Damian M. --24.189.35.249 (talk) 15:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Damian. I've reformatted the links you gave so that they show up in the references section at the bottom of the article.
On a different note, I see that you are quite the active and valuable editor. Have you given any thought to creating an account? There are some benefits associated with making your own account, but it's okay if it's not for you. Check out WP:WHY if you think you might be interested. Thanks again Damian. -FrankTobia (talk) 20:06, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Why not. I'm using and adding to wikipedia more and more. I never thought about it, but I will do when I get the chance.--24.189.35.249 (talk) 21:41, 25 February 2008 (UTC) Damian

If you wouldn't mind, give me a poke on my talk page once you have an account. That way I'll know who you are: I like to keep track of my wikifriends :-). -FrankTobia (talk) 05:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll be sure to do it. Damian --24.189.35.249 (talk) 20:56, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Patrick Swayze

Hi there, I noticed your comments on the talk page of Patrick Swayze where you expressed concern at the apparent lack of empathy shown by editors updating this article recently. I must say that it never ceases to amaze me the speed at which news reaches wikipedia articles. However I am always proud to be associated with Wikipedia when this happens because there is always a sense of rationality. When things happen, such as the death of Heath Ledger or the Virginia Tech Massacre these pages receive an increase in the amount of people reading them. If you look at how news evolves over the day, Wikipedia is always at the forefront because it does not print rumours and all its information is very well sourced. .....Todd#661 07:24, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
