Welcome to wikipedia. You have been doing a great job editing articles. I suggest you sign up for an account. You just need to make some small improvements like using edit summaries and by using the preview button (or press ALT + P) a bit more so that you dont edit articles more times than needed. --Adam1213 Talk + 08:54, 13 December 2005 (UTC) Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.Sceptre (Talk) 20:00, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Sceptre (Talk) 20:13, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Sceptre (Talk) 20:16, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from further editing.

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy:

There is no excuse for personal attacks on other contributors. Do not make them.
  • Comment on content, not on the contributor
  • Personal attacks damage the community and deter users.

Note that you may be blocked for disruption.. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thanks,Sceptre (Talk) 20:49, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jewfro

The afd censensus was that the Jewfro page should be merged into Afro. Please respect this decision. If you want to reverse it, please do so through the appropriate channels (although any such action is unlikely to succeed since the afd was recent). Where (talk) 22:08, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply! Note that if we get into an edit war, it will not be a big circle - Wikipedia has safeguards against it. If you revert somebody's edit more than 3 times in a 24 hour period, you can be banned (see WP:3RR). There are many people like me that are willing to enforce the afd decision, and you are alone. Thus, if we end up Edit Warring about this, you would lose. So you probably do not want to try and solve that dispute in the unilateral manner that you describe. If you do want to dispute it, bring it up on Talk:Afro and we can see if we can arrive at a group decision about it. The afd consensus should be obeyed unless we all as a group decide that it is a good idea to overturn it (see Wikipedia:Guide_to_deletion). The reason that Jewfro was merged with Afro was because the Jewfro article was too short, in the community's view, to be a stand alone article. The Afro article, however, is long enough to be a standalone article, with only a short summary on it with a link on the hairstyle page needed. Where (talk) 01:29, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

FYI, I do agree with you that Jewfro should be a separate article as it was before. But I do not agree with violating Wikipedia procedure. If you make a case for reversing the decision on Talk:Afro, I will gladly support you. But I will have to resist any actions that oppose an established group consensus, such as the AFD discussion. Getting involved in an edit war will help nothing - your edits will just be reverted and you will be banned. None of us are trying to conspire against you. We are just trying to get the best encyclopedia that we possibly can. And unless people follow procedure, chaos will result. So please, if you insist on challenging the decision, bring it up on Talk:Afro. If nobody objects, I will not either. Where (talk) 02:16, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jewfro

Let's talk about unmerging it on Talk:Afro before we do anything, since there was already a consensus to merge. Where (talk) 02:47, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion reaview

Okay; I looked into it for you. If you want Jewfro to have its on article again, you need to list your request on Wikipedia:Deletion review. Where (talk) 19:41, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jewfro

From the very beginning, "jew-fro" was considered an alternate name for Jewfro. Let's wait and see how your post on Wikipedia:Deletion review turns out before overturning consensus. Where (talk) 19:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

The original Jewfro article listed Jew-fro as an alternative name. Also, please explain why you are calling me a "vandal" by pointing to the relevant section of the Wikipedia vandalism policy. I listed Jew-fro on AFD. Finally note that I am not antisemitic. Interestingly, I am Jewish. Where (talk) 20:30, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
FYI, I think Jewfro should have had its own article and I said so in the AFD. But consensus was the merge with Afro, and we have to go along with the consensus. Where (talk) 21:02, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
