Hello back, 24! Thanks for posting to my messy user page - I have to clean up some of those deletion notices for pictures that I figured out how to justify.
I'd add to what I said - and not to contradict you - that your initial approach to raising your points was quite professional. Believe me, lots of folks have stormed over onto that page especially and made a mess and alienated others with attitude. Your assertion of good faith, however mistaken in your view, goes a long way to create an attentive audience for your voice, I think.
I find that what you refer to as my cordiality is just a good way to get a working conversation going, one of the objectives being to improve the article in question. Another is just to have a good conversation, and your excellent posting over on LBH is just that. I'm heading over there now to discuss it with you.Sensei48 (talk) 04:51, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome
Hello! I've noticed that you have edited Wikipedia without logging in to an account. I'm happy that you've been contributing. However, I urge you to create an account. Here is a list of the benefits of having an account:
- You can create new pages
- You can use watchlists
- You can upload images
- You can keep your account from being unfairly blocked if you share an IP address
- You can use scripts to better fight annoying vandalism
- After four days, you can edit semi-protected pages
- After a while, you might be able to become an administrator
There are no cons to signing up for an account. In fact, there are more pros here! Signing up is completely free and you don't need to enter any personal information! Plus you can have a user page like mine! So, unless you can think of a con, sign up for an account right now! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, then! Well, you have been doing a good job editing. Please keep it up! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 03:05, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I saw your comments at WP:SCOWNB. I too would encourage you to take the plunge. I began editing a few Scottish island articles. For a while I wondered if was more-or-less alone, but I found a few fellow-editors and it has now turned into a fully-fledged project (see WP:ISLE). Whether you have time for much or only a little I agree that the topic is under-represented and you sound like you could make a very useful contribution. I don't know much about the subject but if you have any questions I'd be happy to help if I can. Just hit the 'Talk' icon that follows. Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 19:57, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Braidwood
It is a decent article and I don't have anything to add from a Scot's perspective as such, except that I look forward to reading about James B in due course. In general terms the article itself has a couple of obvious things in need of attention. The 'Early History' section has free-floating citations at the beginning. They need to be placed in line somewhere or at the end of the section if they cover generalities. The lead section needs fixing. This is a surprisingly common failing - as an article evolves its lead needs to keep up - see WP:LEAD. For example, I was intrigued about the Braidwood Inn film connection, but although it appears in the lead it is not elaborated on elsewhere. Regards. Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 10:32, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Equal Rights Amendment
I have made an edit that clarifies what the Nineteenth Amendment does. Thank you for pointing out the need for that improvement in the article. --SMP0328. (talk) 23:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
