[edit] Porsche 944

I've now noticed two changes you've made to the article Porsche 944 that I do not believe are constructive contributions. Wikipedia articles are not the place to post information about yourself, your friends, or your your belongings, but rather they should only include facts that clearly illustrate the topic being discussed. Please read over WP:NPOV and WP:BIO. Furthermore, please always use edit summaries with every edit that clearly explain the changes you make to articles. I cannot stress this point enough. Every edit you make will likely be reviewed by others, such as myself, watching for vandalism. Without edit summaries it is often very difficult to determine whether the edit is a helpful contribution with the goal of improving the article or vandalism with the goal of undermining the ethical appeal of the article. Edit summaries also help other editors working on the article to recognize what changes have been made to the article and to respond accordingly. I have not reverted your previous edit to Porsche 944, but I strongly encourage you to reconsider whether your edits improve the article or take away from its credibility. That being said, helpful contributions are certainly welcome here, and I do not wish to discourage from editing Wikipedia. AmiDaniel (Talk) 02:37, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please Use Edit Summaries

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.
