In the edit summary for the above remark, I noted that my comment was in regard to your partial blanking of the U.S. presidential election, 1844 page. Your edit looked like vandalism, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you were testing Wikipedia's functionality. Upon closer inspection of your edit history, it appears that your intent was to eliminate the table of related US presidential elections in favor of the new Template:Uspresidentialelections footer. In the future, please use the edit summary box when you edit a page; doing so would have prevented your edits from being mistaken for vandalism.
