Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! You recently added an external link to an internet forum in Obsessive-compulsive disorder. It has been removed because the link pointed to a non-encyclopedic source. Please refer to Wikipedia's policy on external links for more information.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Dietary supplement do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Dirk Beetstra T C 11:01, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Health freedom movement. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. [edit] blog reverts at Orthomolecular Medicine
Dear "24": Please realize that the link that you are adding at Orthomolecular Medicine (and elsewhere) is considered inappropriate behavior for Wikipedia. Assuming that the blog site and another User:id are all you, let me make few observations: the blog site is not a reliable source (WP:RS) and contains much advertising or other conflicts of interest (WP:COI, formerly WP:VANITY), your continued addition of the link likely be considered highly inappropriate behavior with administrative sanctions such as blocking for linkspam. To support a claim of "recognized expert", WP editors (and admins) will want a presentation of notable sources recognizing your notable expertise (e.g. NY Times, WSJ, NEJM, or perhaps, JOM) They will probably be looking at your publications and PhD &/or MD, too. Kind of a finger wave exam to most, I've noticed a number of professionals are usually a little coy about their detailed identity and background.
Although the site maybe very useful, if you do not wish to establish your expertise, your adding the link would be inappropriate even without the numerous commercial links. I recommend careful editiing in some of these articles, they are hotbeds of discussion and numerous edits, often requiring an intensive search for references that are considered appropriate (WP:RS, WP:V). Also WP:NPOV is a policy that you should familiarize yourself with. New editors often find other article areas to be good practice before entering some of the hotter altmed articles and becoming disenchanted. That said, Welcome to Wikipedia and Good Luck.--TheNautilus 01:46, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
