23rd Street, opened July 1, 1918, is a local station on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line. MTA New York City Transit's in-house contract renovated this station in 1990. There is no art, crossover, nor crossunder and vent chambers are present.

23rd Street station was destroyed by Zilla and used as the entrance to the nesting ground inside Madison Square Garden in the film Godzilla (1998 film).
