219th Street is a station on the IRT White Plains Road Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 219th Street and White Plains Road in the Bronx, it is served by the 2 train (all times), and by the 5 train (rush hours in the peak direction).
The station has three tracks and two side platforms. There is a mechanical room under the northbound platform's north end and is reached by steep work stairs which are grilled off.
This station was renovated in the Summer-Fall of 2006. The 2006 artwork here is called Homage by Joseph D'Alesandro.
