[edit] Kurosawa

The MoS for films mandates that film translations be listed in the language that the film was released in. Dersu Uzala is a Russian language film and the Russian translation of the title is the one to be used in the box on Kurosawa's page and the page for the film. As to Rhapsody in August the title used is the one used on the Japanese Movie Database among many others. Please be aware that Wikipedia, while it can be a fun place to edit, also has a lot of rules about how to edit. There is a general Manual of Style for the entire project and then there are more specific MoS's for things like films and biographies. The Kurosawa filmography currently meets the standards set by these MoS's. You will want to familiarize yourself with them as you proceed. For example messages left on talk pages should be signed and you can do that by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your message. You might start by taking the Tutorial. Good luck in your future editing. MarnetteD | Talk 16:42, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your note and your understanding. You are right about the header on the box (I had dealt with this page so often I had forgotten to look at it) and, when I get a chance I will either change the header or go back to your Japanese title depending on what seems best. I apologize if anything that I have done makes it feel like you don't want to edit here. My best advice is to go slow or ask questions on either the talk pages for articles that you wish to edit (which may or may not get quick replies depending on how many editors keep an eye on them) or ask questions at the Village Pump where you may get more help quickly.
