- Whether or not he supports a local football club is not notable or relevant to his article. He may also like hamburgers or reading mystery novels, but those factoids are not worth mentioning. Additionally, if he is your father, then I suggest you avoid editing his article as you have a conflict of interest. Thanks. --Tom (talk - email) 12:12, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- As per other editors I have removed your football edit to the article. However if your claim to be the son of Sir Richard Dannatt is true then I would be inclined to believe your claim about him supporting that particular football club. However I would first require you to prove you are his son! Given the quality of some of the spelling in your edits, and previously written e-mail address I find it hard to believe you are. Though is relatively simple for you to prove it to me. First have him instruct the Ministry of Defense website editor to add football to the end of his profile, which currently specifies Rugby Union, which is found here:- Profile on MOD site. Secondly ask him where he was standing when I took this photograph of him. If you can't do so then clearly your claim is false. Please refrain from adding the contentious edit until you have proved your claim, otherwise it will be removed and you may be blocked from editing as a persistent vandal, as your only edits to wikipedia have been on this issue. If you wish to state information that you don't want to put on this talk page you can e-mail me from my User Page. Note: General Dannatt can also contact me via a certain Regimental HQ that he is aware of. Richard Harvey 16:07, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
