So I erroneously warned a user, eh? Hey, I'm no ClueBot. But whatever. If you want to slap me for making a mistake, do it here.
Below the line, please.
[edit] Sean Combs
The entry on Sean Combs is a shameless plug about the "brand" of the man, and had it been written about, say, Phizer, it would be rewritten promtly. I tried to _tone down_ the language in the lede, but you modded me out ("not constructive," you said). So -- i trust this means that you second the idea that Wikipedia should be an uncritical public relations conduit for entertainers? If so: Please reconsider. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.159.198.156 (talk) 00:27, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 67.83.132.215
For the Kyle Trager article, I just want to say no hard feelings. Honestly, if I saw an article with THAT much red text for changed material, I would have though it was vandalized at first too. So no, I'm not here to slap you. =P I want to commend you for such prompt action though. Keep up the good work! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.83.132.215 (talk) 00:14, 22 March 2008 (UTC) hey whats ur name my name is lucas and im a guy just so u know lol
[edit] Rio de Janeiro edit summary, and moving my comment!
While I appreciate your efforts to keep Wikipedia clean and neat, this edit summary was pretty rough on the noob editor. User:Rafazero27 seems to be editing in good faith, and it is obvious that he is not a native English speaker. He didn't even have a Welcome message on his talk page yet. Let's fight the vandals but not run off the well-intentioned new editors, okay? Thanks. ♣♦ SmartGuy ♥♠ (talk) 20:19, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- ROFLMAO at having a Mistakes page. Kinda funny, actually. At any rate, there are quite a few Brazilian natives who work on the Brazil articles. They add info on a regular basis, and the rest of us correct the English on a regular basis. On it goes! Gotta love the wiki. ♣♦ SmartGuy ♥♠ (talk) 20:30, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] User talk:Delfish
I don't think the vandalism warning here was really justified. For one thing, the editor is apparently the subject of the article you warned him for editing and there's no apparent ill intent in his edits, and for another, it's his first day editing here, and nobody has pointed him in the right direction with a welcome yet. Let's try not to scare new editors off, even if they start by creating articles about themselves (in this case he is notable). Thanks.--Michig (talk) 22:57, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Mistake
Hi 21655. I feel that the only mistake you're making right now is leaving. Don't let the system beat you up. RfA sucks, but reacting the way you did surely wasn't helping your cause, don't you think? Take a break, but don't retire. I would say move away from vandal fighting. High edit count yes, but high burnout too. Write/improve some articles. It's much more rewarding and has a lower edit count and therefore lower burnout rate. I hope you stay. I'm looking forward to supporting your next RfA if you choose to run the gauntlet again someday. Hi, I noticed this. Please see WP:BLP for why facts on living people need to be especially well-verified. --John (talk) 20:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] re Sellsellsell (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) report at AIV
Hi. It is customary to WP:WARN editors before reporting to AIV - indeed, the instruction block makes it quite clear. Great to see the enthusiasm, but it is best placed in tandem with a bit of procedure! Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 21:31, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Cool. Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 21:42, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] User talk:88.109.167
I noticed the message you recently left to a newcomer. Please remember to try not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you.
Please see WP:UTM for a list of more friendly templates you can give to new users such as: {{subst:uw-vandalism1}}. Thank you. Mww113 (talk) 21:27, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Report on UAA
The name User:S.mandara is by no means forbidden by the username policy. Editing under your own first initial and last name is not a "blatantly promotional username" (and if it is, I'm in trouble!)
You should deal with any conflicts of interest in the appropriate ways -- in this case, it has been dealt with by speedy deleting their article -- and not try to use UAA as a "speedy block". rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 18:39, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Why are you sending me that link? You can revert people as well as I can. This isn't a username issue. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 18:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Mariani Packing Company
I'm hoping it was an error when you removed the "hangon" tag that had been placed. Please do not take offense that I mention this as you may very well have been trying to revert what you thought may have been vandalism of somesort. You may also have a valid reason for removing said tag that is inline with some policy that I am not aware of. Thank you for "listening". Jasynnash2 (talk) 16:22, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Muffin Man
The vandal you reported User: 24.128.42.57 , actually removed vandalism. Your good faith vandal patrol reinserted it. Disqualified the AiV report too. No biggy. Toddst1 (talk) 16:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- My bad. Editor actually vandalized after final warning, the page was re-vandalized by someone else, Editor removed both vandalisms after final. You were correct. Toddst1 (talk) 16:45, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Dersingham
Dersingham - you over-ruled my addition to this page and then proceeded to delete a perfectly valid correction to someone else's entry which I subsequently made. Wikipedia policing is all to be admired, but only if it is itself not deleterious. Please reinstate the article to it's previous state.
[edit] Two in a row...
(i copy/paisted this message from your initial talkpage, as you said, and i did not notice at first, that this is where people should write to you should they believe you made a mistake)
WOW, what a day indeed...
First user CHRIS19910 accused me of vandalizing MIGUEL VELOSO (footballer)'s page (please see edit history and confirm the "vandal" i am), now you accuse me of vandalizing his talk page? This is really really weird, I DID NOTHING OF SUCH!!!
Please check Chris talkpage too see another message i left him regarding this misunderstanding, and you will see also my will to leave WIKIPEDIA for good: almost 2 years helping, never vandalized ONE ARTICLE WHATSOEVER, and have received my share of these unfair accusations...I HOPE this is just a MISTAKE, honestly.

[edit] AIV
Please only report users once they have vandalized after a final warning. Repeated warnings may convince a user to stop vandalizing, thus ending the need for a block. Thanks. Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:56, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
