[edit] June 2008

Please do not gratuitously remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to the Harvard Extension School page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Ave Caesar (talk) 23:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Ave, who the heck are you that you are guarding this page like a hawk? Do you not see that the new sections are acts of vandalism?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.80.147.214 (talkcontribs)

Because you are continuously blanking cited information which is considered vandalism. If you have a problem with the material then take it to the talk page of the article without blanking text. --Ave Caesar (talk) 23:15, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

No, Ave, you are taking those citations out of context and including horrible opinions. The new sections are rubbish meant to demean the school. The student life section is amazingly blatant. Just because you included some "citations", it doesn't mean that you aren't using the information (out of context) to draw up negative misconceptions. Get real and I will continue to edit this page.

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Harvard Extension School.

Although I feel it was inappropriate to post a complaint to WP:AIV concerning this user, the fact of the matter stands that there has been significant edit warring on the part of this IP address and other anonymous users with the orchestrated effort of suppressing cited facts and introducing POV into Harvard Extension School. Most likely these addresses are one person, at the very least they are working together. Either way I find enough to be concerned with about this user's editing to block based on a WP:3RR violation as well as the evidence already listed at WP:AN3. Trusilver 23:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I just cannot see how the current sections on the Extension page are legitimate considering the citations used? The controversy section is full of misconceptions. The three articles cited are about rare cases of students taking a class or two at the Extension School in order to use their affiliation to pose as College Students. These people already had extensive criminal records and were taking advantage of the open enrollment courses. They do not reflect on the Degree Candidates, who are FULL members of the Harvard Community. It is a lie to state that Harvard degree candidates at the Extension School are not real Harvard Students. Secondly, the person who posted those examples of "posers" did not do their research because most of the activities those posers have been caught infiltrating are OPEN to degree candidates. There are several Extension Students who have matriculated into the degree programs involved in student organizations, including political campus groups. The Graduate Council of the University has TWO Extension School students representing the school. Why would they be allowed to do so if Extension School students were "not real Harvard Students". The sections are simply examples of malicious trolling and hiding behind the citations is no excuse to keep them on the page.

Could I suggest you have a look at the edit war policy? While I concur that your edits weren't vandalism, I think you should have acted differently. PhilKnight (talk) 00:14, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
