Due to persistent vandalism (see edit log), editing by anonymous users from your institution's IP address may be currently disabled. You continue to have full access to read the encyclopedia. Thank you.

Attention:

This IP address, 216.25.150.134, is registered to Carnegie Council NETBLK-CAR123-NET1 , and may be shared by multiple users. In the case of organizations using proxy servers or firewalls, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user. Alternatively, you can list the IP at Wikipedia:WikiProject on XFFs.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

[edit] Your edits

Hi, I am very puzzled by all the links you added to various pages of Wikipedia. Please see our external links policy and see whether or not they should be included. I feel that most of the time they are are not that relevant to the article. -- lucasbfr talk 21:51, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

The problem with the links is that they're all from the same site, and that they're been added to over 80 different articles, which tends to imply that you're here to promote the web site and not the content of the links, although I could be wrong. Shadow1 (talk) 22:03, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop using the capital letters. I'm only trying to help you here.
Now, I think that the reason your edits can be interpreted as 'irrelevant' is because the articles in question don't seem to mention the books discussed in your links. In addition, as I've stated before, all links are to the same web site and are found in over 80 of your edits. While you're adding the links, you may want to consider adding some information on the book, to give the reader incentive to read the link, instead of just inserting the link without explaining its relevance. However, please be sure that the links and content actually belong in the article; you can read about Wikipedia's external links policy here. Shadow1 (talk) 22:22, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding edits made during December 12, 2006

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits.  Glen  21:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Imaninjapirate 22:52, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. You are, however, encouraged to add appropriate content to the encyclopedia.
