School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 216.229.227.142, is registered to Southern Adventist University and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you.

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you.

[edit] April 2008

You need to stop posting all those messages on user talk pages. If you do it again after this message, I will start treating them as vandalisms. J.delanoygabsadds 15:43, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
And that will get you blocked for being disruptive. Royalbroil 15:44, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I'd be glad to be your bestest wiki buddy. In the meantime, please stop spamming lots of user talk pages. If you continue, this IP is likely to be blocked from editing. — Carl (CBM · talk) 15:44, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
What you are doing is considered spamming. If you really want friends here, I would suggest creating an account and joining a wikiproject that covers a topic you enjoy. J.delanoygabsadds 15:46, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I totally agree with J.delanoy. Joining the community by contributing will get you friends if you do good work. I'd love to be your wikibuddy, but you're going about it the wrong way. Using Wikipedia to network is strongly frowned upon. A somewhat related idea can be found at WP:NOT#SOCIALNET. Leaving these posts on admin pages is a good way to rapidly get people's attention, and not in a good way. Admins are the ones with the blocking tools. Royalbroil 15:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry if the reaction to your posts makes you sad. I encourage you to create an account, find an area of interest, and contribute to articles, rather than posting on talk pages as you have been. I'm not particularly interested in arguing the merits of your talk page posts with you at the moment, but if you continue them you will probably be blocked. — Carl (CBM · talk) 15:50, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

It seems a different person has already blocked this IP address for 48 hours. Posting messages to lots of talk pages, as you did, is outside our community norms. If you are interested in becoming a member here, I hope you'll take some time to learn about the ins and outs of our community. Creating a user name is a good first step. — Carl (CBM · talk) 15:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your message, but I agree with previous posters that creating an account may be your best course of action. xenocidic (talk) 16:04, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
    • Hi back and thanks for the message. I agree with the two posts above, Wikipedia is for writing an encyclopedia and while there are many ways to do this, and social interactions involved, it is not primarily a social website. Get a user name and help out somehwere you are interested in Ruhrfisch ><>°° 16:12, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I support all of the above. I don't appreciate you pasting the same thing in a bunch of talk pages. This is bad etiquette and bad mentality. Neal (talk) 18:22, 9 April 2008 (UTC).
