Hi, and welcome. I just wanted to ask you not to edit others' user pages. If you are User:KillerChihuahua, could you log in first before editing? If not, messages to users may be placed on their talk pages, accessible by clicking the "discussion" tab visible when viewing the user page. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! — Knowledge Seeker দ 22:01, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] From Akamad
There are many ways to cite sources. This url provides all the information you will need on how to do it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cite_sources
In general, if you are referencing a website, it's easiest to simply put the url of the source in brackets: eg: Bob Dylan was born on the 24th of May, 1941. [http://www.who2.com/bobdylan.html] Which produces text that looks like this:
Bob Dylan was born on the 24th of May, 1941. [1]
I think one of the best uses of references that I have seen on Wikipedia is the Columbine massacre article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbine_High_School_massacre Throughout the text, they provide footnote references (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Footnote).
In general, people aren't too picky about the style of referencing, so long as the source is given.
Hope this helps, once again, please feel free to ask any questions you may have (you know where to find me).
And by the way, I am of Sri Lankan origin (Buddhist), but currently reside in Australia.

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
