[edit] Disambiguation for Vodcast
I'm not entirely clear on what in particular you are disagreeing with when you are reverting the disambiguation link at the top of the article. However, if you don't like the existence of the Vodcast (disambiguation) article, then you can submit a deletion request following the instructions given at WP:AFD. It will be judged democratically by a voting process. As long as there is a disambiguation page, however, it is common Wikipedia practice to provide a link to that disambiguation page at the top of the corresponding article. To read up on related Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style and Wikipedia:Disambiguation. The header of these pages read: "This page is considered a guideline on Wikipedia. It illustrates standards of conduct, which many editors agree with in principle. Although it may be advisable to follow it, it is not policy. Feel free to update the page as needed, but please use the discussion page to propose any major changes." —Tokek 05:59, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
You can see that I've already been writing comments at Talk:Vodcast for some time now discussing the matter, which is the page you requested me to read recently. I've also added comments at Talk:Vlog in the past since the same issue was brought up by another user. I'm not a "fan" of the term vlog, nor vodcast, for that matter. On the contrary, the notion that these two terms should be battling each other out seems rather pathetic, since from what I understand, they are referring to the same thing. I am not about favoring one term over the other. My question to you is whether you think the terms "vlog" and "vodcast" are referring to the same thing or not. If they aren't referring to the same thing, then what's the difference? If they are referring to the same thing, is the reason why you want the "vodcast" article to exist on its own only because you want to advocate the term "vodcast"? If so, please read up on Wikipedia's policy: Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Also, please sign your comments by adding the tilde marks: "--~~~~" —Tokek 04:12, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
I've posted a response to your cross posting at Talk:Vodcast if that's where you want to continue the discussion. —Tokek 00:53, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Since you seem to have given up on explaining what the difference is between vodcast and vlog, could you at least explain which edit of mine you think was vandalism? —Tokek 11:56, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
