[edit] Regarding edits made during January 2, 2007 (UTC) to Portal talk:List of portals
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages or sections with blank content. It is considered vandalism. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. MER-C 11:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I believe this IP is shared by a few thousand computers, I'm unsure how many of them would use wikipedia. Just to clear this up for anyone who comes across this page and thinks "I" am a ruffian! 213.48.15.234 08:33, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at the other users arrogant "poor schlubs" comment. Sorry if there was any confusion. - X201 13:32, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia
Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. DuncanHill 11:49, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Warnings
[edit] November 2007
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to 2008 Formula One season. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. mattbuck (talk) 14:08, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
