[edit] Emirates' destinations
Thank you for your message. I know that Emirates says they fly to 100 destinations. But I find this incorrect. It is perfectly natural for a company to try to inflate their numbers to make them seem larger than they are. The number they give (100) includes Emirates passenger service destinations and Emirates SkyCargo destinations. I personally feel they should not include destinations which you and I cannot get to (such as Taipei, Toledo or Prague) if we were to only use the passenger service. Only boxes and cargo can use the SkyCargo destinatons, so why count them as a destination? Also, the articles Emirates Airline and Emirates destinations are solely about Emirates passenger service. All information about Emirates' cargo service is on Emirates SkyCargo. And, I did count all the destinations at Emirates Route Map. The current number is 89 destinations (88 cities) in 55 countries. But, I am sure it will increase to 100 eventually, but that is not the case currently. If you want to continue this discussion, please do so at Talk:Emirates Airline#Routes. This way more editors will be able to see the discussion and participate. Thank you. Leitmanp (talk | contributions) 06:20, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
