Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Ramesses II, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. Michael WhiteT·C 12:32, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

An important message

This notice has been left for you because another Wikipedia user suspects that, perhaps innocently, you may have defamed someone in your contributions. Please recheck your edits. Do not make allegations against someone unless you have provided evidence from a reliable publication, and then make sure you describe the allegations in accordance with our content policies, particularly Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research. Don't rely on hearsay, rumours, or things you believe without evidence to be facts, and don't use sources to create a novel narrative. Wikipedia requires reliable sources for all claims. Please see our policy on biographies of living persons.

Comments that defame an individual may leave you open to being sued by them. While Section 230 of the United States Communications Decency Act may protect Wikipedia from being sued for defamation, it may not protect the person who posted a defamatory claim on a Wikipedia page. The Wikimedia Foundation's Board of Trustees has ruled that: "Where the user has been vandalizing articles or persistently behaving in a disruptive way, [personal information] data may be released to assist in the targeting of IP blocks, or to assist in the formulation of a complaint to relevant Internet Service Providers." (Wikimedia privacy policy in full)

If you may have inadvertently defamed someone in an article, do two things:

  1. If the material is still there, remove it immediately.
  2. Leave a note on the administrator's noticeboard saying that you have accidentally included defamatory claims in a named article or articles. Don't repeat the claims. The claim can then be deleted from the page history.

[edit] November 2007

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Still Crazy, you will be blocked from editing. You have been warned enough times already. The next infraction on your part will earn a long-term or permanent ban.Vanderdeckenξφ 18:07, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to Lymm, you will be blocked from editing. You should know by now (given previous vandalism and blocks) that such potentially libellous statements cannot be tolerated and will not be. Hence the immediate final warning.  DDStretch  (talk) 16:35, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] April 2008

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to Rick, you will be blocked from editing. You have been repeatedly adding text to this disambiguation page to the effect that "Rick" is a word for throwing dice. Regardless of whether this is true, the purpose of a disambiguation page is to help users find a relevant article. Since the text you are adding contains no link, it's useless and not appropriate to a disambiguation page. This has been made clear in the edit summaries reverting your changes. Since you leave no edit summaries of your own it appears that you are trying to use brute force to force your changes on the page. It won't work. Stop. --Steven J. [edit] Your edits to September 29

Dear 213.120.90.59,
Some of your edits on the page September 29 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. PseudoBot (talk) 15:46, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to December 29. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Philip Trueman (talk) 15:59, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to December 11.
