[edit] Spaces

Dear friend, Please consider developing a habit of putting a space after periods, commas, semicolons, and so on. It's nearly a full-time job for me to go around editing your articles. Thanks for the dedication you have shown in providing all that information. Chris the speller 22:03, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] UK Parliament constituencies

Hi. I notice you've made several contributions to articles about UK Parliament constituencies. You may like to know that there is a WikiProject co-ordinating contributions to these pages. Particularly, there is an agreed style (see here) that these articles should follow, which I think you should have a look at. There are a few things about your edits which caught my attention:

  • Most of your contributions could be described as "historical remarks". It is best to put these in a "History" section (between "Boundaries" and "Members of Parliament"), rather than in the "Boundaries" section. The "Boundaries" section is supposed to describe the geographical location of the constituency, so its party political history doesn't really belong there.
  • You also seem to have concentrated on the declining fortunes of the Conservative Party in your edits. Wikipedia has a Neutral Point Of View policy, so it's best to not just give one side of the story.
  • Some of your descriptions seem quite opinionated (e.g. "badly planned housing", "declined spectacularly", etc.). These could also be viewed as against the Neutral Point Of View policy. See the Manual of Style for guidance.

A personal comment: I don't think that 1964 was particularly "recent", but that's just my opinion. I'd also recommend that you create an account, but if you want to remain an anonymous user then that's up to you. Best regards, --RFBailey 14:29, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
